Bret Atkins teaches courses in organizational leadership and ethics at the graduate and undergraduate university level. As part of these courses, he helps his students become more academically successful through improving their productivity.

His interest in workflow management and personal productivity began while deployed during various emergencies during the past 20 years. Dr. Atkins observed how emergency responders differed in their methods to accomplish crucial tasks within a highly limited timeframe. These days, he applies findings from research about efficiency and effectiveness to his own workflow and is always eager to help others. He operates the website to provide guidance and assistance. At this year’s summit, Dr. Atkins presents on and explains the META model and its connection to working smarter, not harder at our professional and personal endeavors.

Formerly, Dr. Atkins was a TV meteorologist and science reporter.
